The Fireye, SureFire II™ High-Energy Spark Ignition Systems are used for direct spark ignition of most gas or liquid fuels, on igniters (pilots) and main burners.
Fireye High-Energy Spark Igniters (HESI) are well suited to ignite most gaseous and liquid fuels, either by first igniting a pilot or directly igniting the main burner.
The HESI is classified as a Class 3 Special Igniter (NFPA regulations). Burner designers should ensure the correct position of the igniter tip, and the maximum capacity of flame to be ignited to ensure compliance with prevailing regulations.

Fireye SureFire II™ High-Energy Spark Ignition Systems (HESI) are used for direct spark ignition of most gas or liquid fuels used in oil or gas igniters or main burners.
The SureFire II High-Energy Ignition System (HESI) is available in various versions, including options for pneumatic retraction when an automated process is required. Systems for hazardous areas are also available.

Fireye SureFire II™ Heavy-Duty High-Energy Igniters (HD-HESI) are designed for direct ignition of gaseous or liquid fuels such as light and medium oil or heavy oil, which is steam, air, or mechanically atomized.
The HD-HESI creates 3 sparks per second at a high-energy of 24 Joules per spark which provides self-cleaning of the rod tip for direct firing of heavy fuels in particularly difficult operating conditions.
The HD High-Energy Igniter is intended for intermittent operation as a Class 3 Special igniter. The igniter is made of high-quality materials and its components are rigorously checked and tested prior to shipping. Because there are no moving parts or components requiring adjustment, the HD-HESI igniter will provide long and trouble-free operation and low service cost.

Fireye SureFire II™ HEP High-Energy Portable Igniters (HEP) are designed for safe, manual hand operation for the ignition of gas burner applications but may also be used to light small No. 2 oil burners.
The HEP assembly includes an electronic 2kV ignition module powered from an internal battery pack and an integrated main power charger.
The portable HESI device is equipped with a pushbutton to start the sparking system. To prevent accidental ignition, it is necessary to first turn the unit on, then to operate a separate pushbutton. The unit will
spark until the button is released.
The ignition electrode is available in various lengths, 0.5 (HEP-IR 0.5), 1.0 (HEP-IR 1.0), 1.5 (HEPIR 1.5) meters.

Fireye SureFire II™ High-Tension Igniters (HTI) are the ignition element for intermittent and continuous operation gas pilots and burners. Both safe and hazardous area Zone 1 HTI versions are available.
The standard SureFire II HTI Igniter can also be configured for “Spark & Sense” mode when, after ignition, the igniter is also used as a continuous flame sensing device (Flame Rod).
The SureFire II High-Tension Spark & Sense (HTSS) Igniter is a reliable source of ignition for natural and forced draught gas igniters and pilots as well as small capacity gas burners. The HTSS igniter is designed for various types of gaseous fuels such as: Natural Gas, Propane or LPG gases.
Refinery “off-gases”, especially high in hydrogen and sulfur compounds (like hydrogen sulfide) can cause corrosion. For these, and other waste gases, like low calorific value gas or wet and dirty gas, contact us for application assistance.
The HTSS Igniter can also be used in gas pilots that accept a 16 mm diameter rod with coaxial electrode arrangement for use with the Fireye line of Gas Pilots. (Models SP-32-NG/PG-FD, SP-32-NG/PG-ND, SP-48-NG/PG-ND, and SP-48-NG/PG-FD
