History

Mr. W. E. Veenschoten founded Veenschoten and Company in 1953 as a Manufacturer’s representative for Copes-Vulcan, Incorporated in Alabama and NW Florida. His father, Mr. V. V. Veenschoten, was one of the original founders of Copes in 1912, and held patents on the original boiler feedwater regulators. In 1954, Veenschoten and Company became Representative/Distributor for Electronics Corporation of America, Fireye Division for the state of Alabama. We have had this account, uninterrupted since 1954.

The company was incorporated in January 1972. Clyde Hunter purchased Veenschoten and Company, Inc. in December 1997. We expanded our market coverage into Mississippi and Georgia and have an office located in Jackson, Mississippi. We have over thirty-five years of experience in the sale, design and application of industrial equipment primarily for the Utility, Pulp and Paper, and Petrochemical Industries. Our application experience includes large fossil fuel fired utility and recovery boilers.
